The Great Smoky Mountains.

July 21, 2014
About a month ago me and three other friends, grabbed our backpacks and drove to the Smokies for a three day, two night hiking & camping adventure. The smokey Mountains are beautiful, these photographs don't do it justice. We got to experience more fireflies then i've ever seen before. We swung from Tarzan vines, naked, screaming are heads off. We played in creeks and streams. And we had the time of our lives.

Day One
Hiking to the Jumpoff

We met an Appalachian Trail through Hiker, while hiking to the 'Jump Off'.

At the summit called "The Jump Off"

Words to describe the Jump off by each of us: Like a big bowl, Shitty Wine, The end of the world, just blue and green.

Night Hiking to Camp Kephart

We specifically choose to camp at the Smoky Mountains this weekend, because once a year, there is a phenomena that happens under the right conditions (That scientists cannot explain) where, hundreds of millions of fireflies gather and synchronize at night. While we were night hiking up to our shelter for the night, we turned off our headlamps and got to witness this extraordinary event! They were everywhere, and between them and the moon we didn't need any light to seeing the trail.

Day Two
The Morning after Kephart.

The truth if i've ever heard it.

 Foot bridges are my favorite.

I don't have any photographs from Day Three, that was the day that we hiked back to our car and traveled home.
